Projects

While there are many projects created by UCCSER (some are not code related so don't exist on our GitHub), there here are the main projects you should be aware of.

CS Unplugged

Website: www.csunplugged.org

CS Unplugged is a collection of free learning activities that teach Computer Science through engaging games and puzzles that use cards, string, crayons and lots of running around.

These activities are primarily written for younger students (but are great for anyone new to Computer Science). The content was rewritten for teachers in 2018, with the previous activities are found on the Classic CS Unplugged website.

Computer Science Field Guide

Website: www.csfieldguide.org.nz

The Computer Science Field Guide is an open source online resource for teaching Computer Science to students, with curriculum guides for teachers.

This is primarily aimed at secondary school students.

codeWOF

Website: www.codewof.co.nz

CodeWof is a website for people who are beginning programmers to strengthen their programming skills. This website does not teach programming, but helps people maintain their skill by offering practice questions.

It was originally created for teachers who had large gaps between teaching programming courses, however is now aimed for students as well.
